2 Peter 3:11-12 (NKJV) 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

The Apostle Peter is telling us that, in not so many words, be a productive Christian while you are waiting for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Get off the sideline, get off the bench, got out of the starting block and run the race that God has set before you. In light of the fact of what will happen when God judges this world, we should not be twiddling our thumbs, so to speak, while we wait for Christ’s return. And we definitely should not be criticizing those who are being productive. As the saying goes, if we don’t want to be part of the solution, then don’t be part of the problem. And the problem is that many Christians are standing on the sidelines and gossiping about those who are getting the Word out. It is so easy to criticize others, but specifically, what are you doing to get out the Word of God? This is what is important for every Christian, every church, every pastor. It is foolish to criticize, for those that do, do the work of the enemy. Instead of wasting your time and energy judging others, make it a point to do your part in getting out the Word of God. For the day of God is coming. The heavens and the earth will burn away. It will all melt with fervent heat. Many people want to make this world better. But that is not in God’s plan. God plans for a new heaven and a new earth. And it is the same with you and I, my friends, God does not save us to make us better. God makes all things new. God gives us a new nature; we are a new creation in Christ. Live your life in Christ; put on your new nature and live for Christ. Be productive while you wait for His return. And when Christ returns, He shall find you praising His name with your life, no matter what comes your way.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
