Genesis 1:9-13 (NKJV) 9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

God tells us enough of what we need to know about the formation of the seas and the lands. God does not go into great detail here. But God tells us the gist of it, so that we can believe Him, that’s all that is important in these verses. We are to simply trust God at His Word. Also, on the third day God caused vegetation and trees to spring up from the earth. What is God doing here? Well, it seems to be that God is getting earth ready for man. God is making the earth habitable for man. This is what is important in these verses. God created man and placed him in the garden that He prepared for him.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
