Psalm 127:1-2 (NKJV) Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
Solomon is saying that everything is vain unless God is in it. Everything is dependent on God and on His blessings. My friends, this is how we should look at things; before we set off doing anything, we need to pray for God’s guidance and blessings, then we should proceed in full dependence on Him. It makes all the difference in the world to do things with God. Likewise, our security lies in God. Only when we fully depend on God, then we can really rest in peace knowing that we are safe and secured in His loving care. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:31-34 NKJV). My friends, God’s blessings are poured out on us when we are really yielded to God and living for His glory.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
