Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
My friends, we ought to praise and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because of His attributes that are listed here. “Whatever things are true.” Christ is the One who is TRUE. He is the Way. He is Truth. And He is Life. “Whatever things are noble. Christ is NOBLE. He is honorable. He is righteous. He is God; God the Son, the Second Person of the Triune Godhead, Elohim. “Whatever things are pure.” Christ is PRUE. He is just. “For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens” (Hebrews 7:26 NKJV). “Whatever things are lovely.” Christ is LOVELY. He is gracious. He is kind. And He is longsuffering. “Whatever things are of good report” Christ is GOOD. He is good all the time. And all the time God is good. “If there is any virtue.” Christ is VIRTUE. He is strong. He is the Rock of our salvation. “If there is anything praiseworthy.” Christ is PRIASEWORTHY. He is the One who we can praise and worship today. “Meditate on these things.” My friends, we ought to keep our attention on Christ. By-the-way, how much time do you spend reading, studying and digesting the Word of God? How much time do you think about Christ? My friends, do you know what gets you thinking about Christ more than anything else? It is the Word of God. As you think about Christ, there is a liberty, a freedom and a spiritual growth that He gives you by means of God’s Word. You cannot get it in any other way. My friends, “meditate on these things.”
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
