1 Peter 5:5-7 (NKJV) 5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Christian young people are to submit to Christian elders. After all, a godly father has a lot of sense and experience. And probably more than those who are younger. A lot of young people however find out the hard way. They would have had it easier if they had listened to their elders. Believers should not insist on having things done their way or the highway. It is very difficult to learn from others, if we insist on having our way all of the time. Rather, we ought to be clothed with humility. “For God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” It is only when we humble ourselves, that we can experience the grace of God. “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” My friends, Christ is coming again, and in light of the fact that no one knows the day or the hour of Christ’s return, we ought to be humble at all times. This is the proper attitude of a child of God. The Lord Jesus Christ will establish justice and make things right when He returns. We don’t have to straighten out the world for Him. He will do it Himself. Don’t worry about a single thing. Christ knows the things that matters to you because the things concerning you matters to Him. My friends, worry about nothing and pray about everything. Take your worries to the Lord in prayer, then leave it there in His hands. God is capable of dealing with it. And in exchange, God will give you peace.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
