Isaiah 58:8-14 (NKJV) 8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. 9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 10 If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. 11 The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 12 Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. 13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, 14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
God wants the people of Israel to turn to Him in a real way. And likewise, God wants us to turn to Him in a real way. There is a need for a real revival in the churches today. For God cannot manifest His blessing and glory to people who practice their faith so badly. This is one of the reasons why unbelievers are passing by the church today. Why? It is because they don’t see people with real faith. They don’t see people completely and fully trusting in God. My friends, God is saying to us, “I can’t manifest Myself through your life because of your unbelief.” We need to demonstrate our faith. It is so important. God wants to bless us, but He can’t if our hearts are not trusting in Him. God says, “When you trust in Me, here I am.” My friends, God promises to bless you if you would show reality in your faith. God wants to bless you, He really does. Now, concerning verse 13, this verse is specifically for the people of Israel. The Sabbath is for the Jews. God said, “It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed’” (Exodus 31:17 NKJV). For believers today, we are to enter into God’s rest of redemption by completely and fully trusting in what Christ did for us on the cross at Calvary. My friends, God wants us to fully trust Christ. When we enter into His rest of redemption God greatly blesses us and opens up the door of service for us. When we put our faith into action, God extends our horizon, and the vista of the future opens before us. My friends, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is returning, nothing can stop God’s plan for the coming manifestation of His glory. The question is, will you let Christ manifest Himself in your life today? If you will, then you must completely and fully trust in Him.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
