Psalm 4:6-8 (NKJV) 6 There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. 7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. 8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

My friends, do you want prosperity and happiness? Do you long for some good to happen in your life? Do you want to have your share of blessings? Well, then seek the Blesser, seek God. However, the problem is many people want the benefits of a Christ-filled life but they don’t want Christ. David goes straight to the source of all spiritual blessings, he says “Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.” My friends, this is what we need, we need the Lord. The joy of the Lord far exceeds a bountiful harvest. The joy of the Lord far exceeds any material wealth. Nothing can come close to the joy that God puts into our hearts. My friends, God is good all the time. And all the time God is good. God is faithful to meet all our needs. We can trust in God. And when we are certain of God’s all-sufficiency, then our inner agitations will subside. It is as the song goes, “When I fix my eyes on all that You are. Then every doubt I feel Deep in my heart Grows strangely dim. All my worries fade And fall to the ground. Cause when I seek Your face And don’t look around, Any place I’m in Grows strangely dim.” My friends, the Lord says to us, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10 NKJV). Know that it is God who makes us dwell in safety. Put your trust in God and He will give you rest.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
