Romans 11:33-36 (NKJV) 33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! 34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?” 35 “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” 36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
If we do not understand why God does things in a particular way. Say for instance, how God deals with Israel. Or how God deals with Gentiles. Or even how God deals specifically with you and with me. The reason why we don’t understand is not because of a lack of a good and appropriate reason for why God does what He does. We can’t understand these things because of our inability to comprehend the wisdom and ways of God. It is as the Lord said, ““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts”” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV). God’s thoughts and ways are different from man’s, because man’s thoughts and ways never follow the path to redemption. “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV). My friends, God is doing what is best for us because He loves us. We may not understand why certain things are happening in our lives, but we must have faith that God is allowing it for our good. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28 NKJV). We may not understand why bad things happen; we may not even understand it in our own lives. But we must believe that they come from the “depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God.” My friends, no one knows the mind of the Lord. But we should simply be still and know that He is God. The Lord is all knowing. God does not need our advice. God does not owe us a favor in return for something we did for Him. For what is it that we have that God did not give to us? And furthermore, God gives back to us more of what we give to Him of the things He has already given us. We may not understand it all. But God is the Creator of all things. God is the all sufficient and mighty Sustainer. Everyone will one day have to give an account to God, for the glory belongs to God.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
