Isaiah 55:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Those who strongly oppose free will, that is to say, they highly favor election over free will, they will say that God is not calling people to seek after Him. Because it is God who is seeking people. God is the one doing the seeking, that is certainly true. The heart of man does not naturally seek after God. It takes the Holy Spirit to open up the hearts of people to seek after God. But nonetheless, we have a responsibility, we have a choice as it is said in John 3:16 (NKJV). Our Lord Jesus Christ said to Nicodemus, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” This is why our Lord Jesus Christ could say, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37 NKJV). Therefore, the moment you decide to come to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and in faith, trusting in Him and believing in Him, you will be saved and you will be part of the elect. You have to make that choice to come to Jesus. The only thing that keeps people away from God is sin. The moment that you are ready to give up your sins, is the moment that you are ready to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, redemption and reconciliation. Come to Jesus, my friends, and live.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
