2 John 8 (NKJV) Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
Now, my friends, as a Christian, a true believer, if you are hanging out with the wrong crowd, it does not mean that you will lose your salvation. But you are putting yourself in a dangerous position. And if you go off and join a cult which denies the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, it does not mean you lost your salvation. But there will be some serious questions about whether or not you are true child of God. Because remember the Parable of the Lost Son, a true child of God does not stay in the pigpen of sin forever. Sooner or later he or she will arise and say, “I will go to my Father’s house.” If you do not return home to your Father, it means that you were never a child of God, and there are no rewards for you in heaven. Every believer ought to be diligently working to increase what the God has given them. So that one day they will hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (see Matthew 25:21 NKJV). Therefore, my friends, we ought to be very careful not to be led astray by deceitful wolves in sheep’s clothing. Never fall for the trickery of false prophets, false ministers, false teachers and false believers. We need to stand firm on the truth of God’s Word and stay in close fellowship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
