2 Timothy 4:13,21 (NKJV) 13 Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come—and the books, especially the parchments. 21 Do your utmost to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, as well as Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brethren.

Paul asks Timothy for his coat. It would be getting cold soon, much like it is getting colder hear already. And Paul having suffered a lot, is somewhat susceptible to the cold weather. And there was very little heat in the prison. So, he asks for his coat that he had left behind. Paul also asks Timothy to bring some books and parchments, so that he could have something to read. Paul urges Timothy to come, and to come before winter. Because the winter weather may delay Timothy’s arrival. And Paul needed his companionship. Timothy’s other friends also looked forward to his arrival. This is one of the joys and privileges of being a Christian is the friendships that are created while serving the LORD. I know this to be so true, my friends.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
