1 Peter 1:15 (NKJV) but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,

What does ‘being holy’ looks like to you? If you say, “holiness is to assume a very pious attitude.” Then you are not alone. Most people think that is what holiness is all about. To the majority of the people, holiness is superficial. My friends, God wants you to enjoy being a Christian. God wants you to have fun as a Christian. Now, it does not include sinful fun. But God does want you to have real joy and happiness in the newness of life that He has given you in His Son Jesus Christ. Just as you can look at someone’s physical attributes and tell that he or she is healthy. In the same way, you should be able to look at someone’s spiritual characteristics and tell that he or she is healthy spiritually. So, instead of imitating the ungodly world with its ungodly fads and sexy (almost naked) fashions. We should be imitating Christ. We should be becoming more like Christ, each and every day. It is as the song goes, “a little more like Jesus, and a little less like me.” God is Holy in all His ways. Therefore, in Christ, we must be holy in all that we say and do. That should be our goal. And you may say, “it is an unachievable goal.” Yes, in this lifetime, we will never be as holy as God. But we ought to be holy because Christ dwells in us. And since there is no sin in Christ and Christ cannot sin because He is God. Then we ought to be holy because Christ is Holy.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
