Psalm 19:12-14

Psalm 19:12-14 (NKJV) Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Here is the answer to all our rationalizations for our sins. We cannot use deceit to cover up our wrongs or make them appear to be right. We can make up all of the excuses we want, but God will not accept them. God says that we cannot understand our errors. For it is hard to accept and to admit that we are sinners. But when we think of how holy, just and perfect the Law is, then we ought to agree with God and call sin for what it is, it is sin. The Word of God exposes our sins to ourselves and convicts us of our sins. And causes us to accept God’s word that we are sinners. For there are many “secret faults” within us. Things that we are thinking, doing and saying that we don’t even realize that we are sinning. “Secret faults” are problems for many Christians today. These are sins that we commit because we fail to recognize them as sin. It is hidden from us and from others, but not from God. Sin is sin, even if we are ignorant of it. This ought to prompt us to pray for forgiveness of secret or hidden sins. Oh, let us not be arrogant and prideful of our sins, so that we do not reject our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and revolt against God. Let us ask for forgiveness of all sins, and pray as David did, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” By the grace of God, the Lord Jesus Christ is our Strength our rock of security and salvation, and He is our Redeemer who saves us from sin, servitude and shame. God has reconciled us unto Himself through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. And now Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father in heaven making intercession for us.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
